Trevor Head offers Training in Musical Instrument Repair with brass and woodwind instrument repair course to suit all needs. Courses run from March to November and are from two to six days’ duration. We cater for a range of abilities and experience, and offer courses from Foundation to Advanced levels.

Overseas students are always welcome and many attend from as far away as China, Australia, Japan, Africa and all over Europe. Fluency in English is not essential as our workshop sessions are mainly practical. Many of our students are now running their own successful repair businesses in the UK and other parts of the world.

The school is situated in a beautiful Mid-Wales location within easy reach of some of the most dramatic landscapes in Wales. We are close to the centre of the unspoilt village of Llangunllo and within easy walking distance of the Greyhound Inn.

Our tutors are experienced professionals and, with small group sizes, are able to spend a lot of time with individual students. Excellent learning facilities, ease of access by air, rail and road, plentiful local accommodation, home-cooked lunches from the school kitchen – all contribute to making a course at Llangunllo School a most rewarding and enjoyable experience.
