About Us;

Robinson Brass began in 2010 when Daniel Robinson’s fascination with vintage cornets sparked a journey of passion and craftsmanship. What started as rescuing these instruments from disrepair quickly grew into a deeper love for instrument repair. Through hands-on experimentation and extensive research, Daniel’s skills evolved from basic repairs to more complex endeavors.

A major milestone came in 2014 with the creation of our first full instrument, “The Rotary”, commissioned by a close friend. This project marked the beginning of our instrument-making journey, with each revision improving upon the last and solidifying our commitment to quality.

Operating from a small workshop in Yeovil, Somerset, Daniel is the heart of Robinson Brass. With expertise in machining and toolmaking, he not only crafts high-quality instruments and mouthpieces but also fabricates custom parts and tools for repairs, particularly for those hard-to-find pieces no longer in production. This unique approach allows for innovative solutions tailored to each instrument’s needs, reflecting Daniel’s dedication to excellence and precision.
