Having established my business since being one of the first graduates of the Merton College course, I now have over 45 years experience as a woodwind technician.  I also have many years experience as a professional clarinetist,  was Head of Woodwind Performance Studies at the University of Southampton for 20 years and pursue continued research into clarinet acoustics, with relevance to teaching techniques.  As a technician,  combined with this wide range of contacts and experience,  I am used to helping woodwind players of all abilities and standards to get the best from their instruments.  All instruments are play-tested, to ensure that the finer adjustments are set up accurately.

Being primarily a clarinetist, I am an accredited technician for Rossi clarinets and work closely with Clarinets Direct, re-building valuable specialist models, as well as maintaining current instruments.  As a technician I am equally as happy working with all instruments of the woodwind family, at all levels, from student models to professional ones.  I am also a professional member of N.A.M.I.R.
